CHA journey

I went to CHA to represent A Creative Journey with Melissa. It was a experience of a lifetime. I have gone to other CHAs and Scrapbook Expos that have been super fun and amazing.

I learned that in this business it is really a huge competition and those that compete are really really serious about their passion in the creative world. So, it can be as a good view and also a bad view. When I buy from a company that says a lot about ME, right? I know when I make creative project(s) with a companies products I represent them, right? I make a statement saying I trust their product and love it, too. And with that said...

I gotta admit I had one bad experience. I was viewing a line of product in the booth and the way the lady represented was not kind, pleasant nor informative. I was in the booth for less then 5 minutes. Isn't the first impression thee most important?
I think in many cases it is.

Other then that ONE bad experience I had a SUPER FANTASTIC time. I was extremely excited about the new products that will be coming out soon.

Sizzix was there and I was given permission to take photos. I have bought from this company since for like forever! I have several Sizzix dies- its like a warehouse in my craft room. Okay, okay maybe not that many but it does feel like it, LoL

Every since I can remember when I go into their booth it has been a extremely pleasant experience. With that said here a some cool pictures...........

These dies are amazing and can't wait to get my hands on some of these. Well, adding to my collection is important, right? *giggle*

HAVE A SUPER FANTASTIC DAY.

Scrapbook Layout

I have to catch up on my kids pictures. This was 2007. I am so glad I made a quick 5 minutes layout.

C2BU pic

The black cardstock is rom DCWV. I love it! So thick and sturdy. The word paper is from Tim Holtz. That came in a box like foil paper or wax paper come in. I used a little distress ink from Tim Holtz and washi tape. Plus, I used Helmar 450 quixk dry glue to hold all those things together. Oh! The stamp set I used from KinderStampO.

Canvas 16x20 My 1st !

After watching Limor Webber on UStream I actual wanted to try a canvas....
Boy! Did I. Well, Michaels had the canvas 16x20 on sale!! LoL, they were a 2 pack for $3.99 + a extra 20% off that. Ekkk! Why wouldn't I want to try my 1st canvas project?!
Okay, unto my canvas. I will show ALL corners first then last the whole 16x20...
C2BU
This is the top left side. Wood cross inked with TH vintage ink. TH corner embellishment. I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry glue to hold all my stuff!!! I used Mod Podge on the paper by Paper Studio and the card stock by Core' dinations, which I printed my photo then Mod Podge it!
C2BU
This is the top right corner. The huge embellishment is from the jewelry department at Michaels. The other is from Recollections. I actual took the middle out and added my own paper and stamped my Hubby's name and mine. Then coated it with Glossy Accent by ranger. I used the stamp by Stampendous! Once again I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry glue.
C2BU
This is the bottom left side. I used Mosaic Stones for our last name. I stained them with Tsukneko-Terra cotta color. Stamped it with KinderStampO stamp set called "Say it in TYPE". Wired burlap from Hobby Lobby. Do you the cool looking half heart? I used a stencil with Fiber Paste! First time using it! Another embellishment from TH stating "live in the moment". Those flowers are from Michaels. I used Mulberry paper too.

C2BU
Okay last corner the bottom right-LOVE IT!!! Printed the picture on white core'dination paper. Then Mod Podge it. Once dried I ink it with TH vintage color! Burlap on he back of picture.
C2BU

TA-DA! the whole 16x20 canvas all in on picture. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it, LoL
I normally don't say that but heck it's for my Hubby!
Have you ever created on a canvas??

My Prima Doll Project

I went to a local adorable store called Urban Farmgirl and it looked like this.....
C2BU
even in the rain! Isn't that cute? Hubby took me Saturday morning and I got some cute "zinc baords" from there.
C2BU
So, what are "zinc boards"? They are super cute shaped metal. I got 2 shapes and then the LIGHT lit in my head. I want to make this>>>>>
C2BU
Although, the IMAGE of these adorable Dolls by Prima was too BIG for my "zinc board" I recalled someone stating they scan their STAMPED image(s) and size it to what they want. I tried it and it worked!!! I was so happy with my project and will be bringing this to my office at work. The paper I used was "My Mind's Eye" Market Street 6x6 paper stack.
Other products I used:
Mod Podge
Tim Holtz-Swivel Clasp
SU-ink Soft Suede
7gypsies #SC0502
Hobby Lobby -wedding tulle things,lol.
Copic Markers
Glossy Accents by Ranger
Bead is Blue Moon
Zots

With all that said I really did enjoy trying NEW things and I am so happy I did it. I hope you enjoyed this project!
HAVE A SUPER FANTASTIC DAY!!!

Theme-spired Saturday

This week theme is "Time for a Road Trip" at KinderStampO.
created2Bunique
My amazing creations was inspired by just road. I wanna go for a road trip and I just can't at this time so I made this.......
Created2Bunique
I used KinderStampO "Antique Brass Cameo Charm". I used 450 Helmar Quick Dry Glue to attach the 100 year old paper. Then Stamped the letter "S" for my last name with KinderStampO's stamp set called "Say it in Type". I used Tim Holtz Idea-ology Swivel Clasp to hold KinderStampO's charm. Under clasp is a antique brad which I broke the clasps in the back and held it down with once again 450 Helmar Quick Dry Glue, love that glue. The green was given to my by a very caring, loving, wise and sweet friend named Jennifer, which I met through FaceBook. To finish that gloss look I used Mod Podge, another favorite glue of mine. You can never have enough glues you love in hand.

Created2Bunique
Stamped the letters with KinderStampO's stamp set called "Say it in Type". I used Road Ranger Accent Gloss over the letters. I really LIKE how it gives it a raised feeling on the letters. The tag is from Spellbinder.

Created2Bunique

Who doesn't LIKE this image? Magnolia stamps are super cute. Ugh, she is so darn cute! I used Copic Markers to color her. Then added Zots Dots on the back to Pop it up. So, what about that POST CARD??? You can locate it at your local Hobby Lobby. I stamped it on a carboard and gave it some Tim Holtz Distress Ink to make look super adorable. Then I Mod Podge over it. Is it not adorable?

Created2Bunique

Here is my complete project. I really LOVE the way it came out. So, do you wanna know what that case is called? It is a Chipboard Suitcase by Provo Craft.

So, IF I inspired you, which I hope I did, please let Jess @ KinderStampO and I know.

You may also tag us on FaceBook.
