  3. Love the mess leading up to the pretty cards!

I wish I had a good joke story, but the truth is I am horrible at telling jokes and doing pranks!! I am very sarcastic though!

Glad to be in the hop with you!!

  5. I always wanted to play the April Fool's Day joke where I said I'm pregnant. Two years ago, I discovered on April 5 I really was pregnant. I could have played it on April Fool's Day and didn't know. That was some sort of cosmic joke on me. LOL

I hate to say this but I cannot remember a single joke anyone has ever played on me. (I take meds that make my memory not work)

  7. Absolutley beautiful cards.

The biggest joke that anyone played on me was my parents. When I was about 18, they told me and my brothers that my Mom was expecting. We were in shock. At about noon, they said "APRIL FOOLS"!

Realized that I never left you my email *bangs head against the wall*

  8. i love the cards! beautiful! Me and my husband are always being silly and playing practical jokes on each other The one that I remember the most happened just the other day. I put a rubber band around the spray nozzle on the sink. when he turned on the water it sprayed him, just the look on his face as he was trying to figure out what happened was priceless. needless to say he got me back later in the day with the same joke!

  12. I am so jealous! What beautiful cards! I am a lousy card maker!

The biggest joke I played was helping some fellow teachers fake a letter from the state department telling a teacher that he retirement couldn't go through. He would have to come back the following year to be eligible. He was on the phone with the superintendent's office before they could tell him it was a joke. By the way it was his wife's idea.

    I am now a follower!

  14. I love your creativity and a follower! As a teacher I played a joke on a senior English class and told them they had a term paper due in five days - gave them all the specs and watched their faces! When I confessed the joke, I could feel the relief.

  15. Don't know if it's the biggest joke or prank but I'm a bit of a messer and I pretended to my dad (rip) that I had my belly button pierced but refused to let him see. He went ballistic. I kept it up for a week, he even had our priest talk to me about it. I finally told him and he was not impressed.

  16. adorable cards. My brother and I always try to prank the other one.. we do it all year long not just on April Fools so much so that when I moved out of state he would try to come up with things he could tell me over the phone to try to get me. In High school I was on the softball team and my bro was the manager (cuz his girlfriend was on the team also) and we came home from a practice and i told him to run in and tell our mom that i broke my arm and had to be taken to the hospital (we always try to get our mom too).. he said yea thats a good one and he ran in.. he didnt come back out... turns out he went in and told her everything and that sat in there laughing at me for a good half hour before he came and told me GOTCHA! lol.

  17. First, I'm a long-time dedicated follower and just ADORE your new projects posted here. Love them! ALLLL!

Favorite joke: hmmm. Well, the best ones are always pulled on my daughter Emily. She's 25 now, but when she was growing up and in school, EVERY year on April Fool's Day I'd go into her bedroom as if to wake her for school but tell her HEY GUESS WHAT! NO SCHOOL TODAY 'CAUSE IT'S SNOWING. And every year, she'd get groggily excited and peek out the window, lifting the window shade, and then it would dawn on her that what day it was. GOSH she's so gullible!!

Well, this year, she's no longer in school ... she's a new mom and a nurse who worked overnight last night. As soon as she got off her shift at 7 a.m., I reached her by cell phone before she got out of the garage at Children's Hospital where she works. "NO SCHOOL TODAY EMILY, IT'S SNOWING!" She said, hahaha ... But I said, NO REALLY ... for the first time in all of those years I was joking, the joke's on ME! Mother Nature made it snow today, and schools are closed. DUHHHHHHHH....

BUT my favorite joke of all time played on her was when my hubby (her stepdad) and I told her that I got a tattoo (I didn't). I said, "JOHN! You weren't supposed to tell her..." and then he said, "Oh, right... Emily, your mother DID NOT get a tattoo." Then she didn't know WHAT the real story was. It went back and forth for HOURS. She finally realized I didn't ... and then, when she was in the shower, I crept into the bathroom and showed her (through the plastic see-thru shower curtain) the TATTOO on my chest. It was really a rose I drew with a marker there, but she went ballistic! LOL.... Like I said, she is SOOOOO gullible!

  19. Oh Haidee! I love these cards. Especially love the mulberry paper - I have a whole stack of that and i might have to lift some of your lovely designs!

A couple of years ago, my mother called me and told me they had decided to sell their house and 5 acres of land. I totally fell for it for about 10 minutes, telling her that I could not believe they would put it on the market without letting us buy it first. Finally, I got it :)

Thanks for the chance to win some sweet candy and for the fabulous inspiration!

  33. Beautiful cards! As for a great joke... At my brother's sign shop, my bro and I were always in a prank war against the rest of the work crew. Well, when the guys went to lunch we got the Hide a Key from one of their trucks and while they were gone we greased the steering wheel, gear shift and door handles with vaseline! Cruel, but oh so funny! ;) LOL
